Why does the program exist?

Since 2008, "The Best of Monserrate" has been a powerful program that enables the direct communication of coffee producers from this town in Huila with roasters in the United States, as a conjuntion between Racafé and Atlas Coffee Importers. The main objective is to open doors in the international market for high quality coffees, promoting the visibility of small producers that grow in this remote region of Colombia -with its innumerable challenges-, and to connect them with international roasters, creating direct relationships that not only guarantee a fairer trade, but also the transfer of knowledge in order to continue perfecting the cultivation and processing processes.
