In February 2022, Racafé became the first private green coffee trader in the country to receive AEO accreditation as part of the initiative created by the World Customs Organization to guarantee agile, transparent and secure trade. What does this really mean and how does it benefit our operations and the commercial relationship with our clients?

Receiving this accreditation gives us the status of safe and reliable operator, for having demonstrated diligence and excellence in our customs and tax obligations in the international supply chain. In order to receive this recognition, it was necessary to fulfil with more than 133 requirements and to validate the security of our physical cargo. In Colombia, this is a process that is verified by the DIAN and the Antinarcotics Police.

Among the advantages of receiving this recognition, there are numerous benefits and special treatments granted by the control authorities to simplify inspection and monitoring in the international supply chain. All this, in addition, based on the company's excellent track record and for our commitment to good practices in the safe trade of Colombian products.

Undoubtedly, this is an achievement that we reached thanks to the efforts of all Racafé's collaborators and members to build safe and reliable relationships with all stakeholders. In this way we comply with one of our most important objectives, which is to maintain a fair, equitable and secure chain of production and distribution from the coffee plantations to the roasters and consumers around the world.
